There are so many different streams to the world of commerce and business nowadays. We don’t have quite so much of a manufacturing hold in the world that we used to. When I was younger we had quite definite groupings, i.e. blue collar workers, white collar workers, unions at stand offs at any one time. The 1970s were a disasterous period for British industry as a whole, with the decline in ship building, car manufature and the running down of the coal mines. It’s going to take a great deal of steely effort to get back to being a really well known force in the world. so much depends on overseas expertise and the importation of raw materials. Making sure we run our own operations as efficiently as possibl will all aid the national effort. Ensuring our taxes of all sorts are paid on time also helps to keep the fiscal side of governance smooth too.
